These Disclaimers are part of the legal framework that applies to Mondrian EstiMate™ MBS-to-DRG Estimator (the "Service"). They should be read together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
1. Administrative and analytical software only
Mondrian EstiMate is intended only for the administration or management of health processes or facilities, and for related operational, forecasting, planning and commercial analysis. It is not supplied, marketed or intended as software for diagnosis, screening, prevention, monitoring, prediction, prognosis, treatment, clinical recommendation or decision-making in relation to any disease, condition, ailment or defect.
2. Not an official AR-DRG grouper
Mondrian EstiMate is not an official Australian Refined Diagnosis Related Group grouper. It does not reproduce, replace or certify the official grouping algorithms used in licensed grouper software. Any AR-DRG candidates or related outputs generated by the Service are indicative estimation outputs only.
3. No clinical use
You must not use the Service: 1. to make clinical decisions; 2. to diagnose or screen patients; 3. to determine treatment pathways, urgency, prognosis or clinical suitability; 4. as a substitute for professional clinical judgment; 5. as a medical device, clinical support tool or patient-facing clinical application.
If the Service is configured, described, integrated or used in a way that introduces a clinical purpose, that use is outside the intended scope of the Service and is prohibited.
4. No official billing, coding or funding use
You must not use Service outputs as: 1. official AR-DRG assignments; 2. coded episode outputs; 3. funding claim submissions; 4. Activity Based Funding submissions; 5. insurer adjudication instructions; 6. casemix reporting returns; 7. formal reimbursement calculations; 8. final revenue recognition or statutory reporting inputs without independent validation.
Official DRG assignment for billing, funding and formal reporting requires complete coded episode data and appropriate licensed grouping and validation processes.
5. No professional advice
The Service and its outputs do not constitute medical, legal, coding, health information management, accounting, financial, reimbursement, actuarial or other professional advice. You are responsible for obtaining independent professional advice appropriate to your circumstances.
6. Accuracy, completeness and fit for purpose
The Service is designed to assist exploratory estimation, not to guarantee a correct or complete result in every case. Outputs may vary based on: 1. the data you supply; 2. the completeness and quality of that data; 3. changes in public schedules, classifications and coding standards; 4. internal product logic, assumptions and configuration; 5. differences between estimation workflows and official grouping workflows.
Mondrian does not warrant that any output: 1. is error-free; 2. is complete or current; 3. will match official grouper output; 4. is suitable for any particular operational, commercial or reporting purpose; or 5. will produce any particular financial or scheduling outcome.
7. TGA position and intended use
Mondrian intends Mondrian EstiMate to be used only for the administration or management of health processes or facilities. Mondrian does not market Mondrian EstiMate for clinical purposes and does not intend the Service to be used for diagnosis, screening, monitoring, treatment or treatment recommendation.
Any regulatory position depends on the actual intended purpose, features and deployment of the Service. If the Service is modified, marketed or used outside its stated administrative purpose, the legal and regulatory position may change. You must not describe or use the Service in a way that creates a clinical intended purpose.
8. Third-party and public-sector materials
The Service may reference, transform, derive from or interoperate with public schedules, classifications, coding materials and other third-party resources, including MBS and AR-DRG-related materials. Those materials remain subject to their own owners, custodians and legal terms. Mondrian is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of IHACPA, the Department of Health and Aged Care, Services Australia, or any government, regulator, insurer or coding authority unless expressly stated in writing.
9. User responsibility
You are responsible for: 1. determining whether the Service is suitable for your intended use case; 2. validating outputs before relying on them; 3. ensuring the legality of the data you upload; 4. preventing prohibited clinical, coding, billing or funding use; 5. maintaining appropriate internal approvals, governance and human review.
10. Beta, pilot and evaluation features
Features labelled beta, pilot, trial, prototype, experimental, preview or similar are provided for evaluation and may: 1. change more frequently; 2. be incomplete or withdrawn; 3. have different performance characteristics; 4. be excluded from service levels, warranties or support commitments unless expressly stated otherwise.
11. As-is basis
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to any non-excludable rights under applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
